The new DC-UPS UPSI-2406DP3 with integrated LiFePO4 battery reliably bridges power failures and faults, so that the uninterruptible 24 VDC power supply is ensured at the output. Due to optimized power electronics, DC loads of up to 100 Watt can be safely bridged.
Power failures, voltage drops, fluctuations and flicker in the 24 VDC supply network can quickly become a problem in production systems, safety technology and embedded industrial PCs and cause costly failures or even data loss. The intelligent emergency power supply UPSI-2406DP3 with integrated Li-Ion battery ensures the fail-safe supply of the connected DC load. LiFePO4 - The particularly safe and long-lasting lithium-ion battery technology
The integrated LiFePO4 battery pack impresses in safety-relevant applications with a particularly stable battery chemistry, a long service life of at least 10 years and more than 6000 full charge and discharge cycles. For all high-performance battery packs, Bicker Elektronik deliberately relies on the particularly safe lithium iron phosphate chemistry, which makes thermal runaway almost impossible. Combined with the specially developed battery management system (BMS), Bicker Elektronik can guarantee the highest level of product safety and reliability.
Low total cost of ownership compared to lead-acid batteries
In contrast to the supposedly cheaper lead-acid batteries, high-quality lithium iron phosphate cells have an approx. 15-20x longer service life and cycle stability. In addition, 100% of the full nominal capacity of the LiFePO4 battery pack can be continuously withdrawn. Lead-acid batteries have significant limitations in terms of the depth of discharge and number of cycles. When calculating the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) over the entire period of use of at least 10 years, there is a clear cost advantage compared to lead-acid batteries, especially since there is no need for maintenance and battery replacement for LiFePO4 during this period.
'Power Sharing' with intelligent input current detection
The intelligent 'Power Sharing' at 24VDC input ensures that the upstream AC/DC power supply does not have to be overdimensioned, because the input power is kept constant and appropriately distributed to load and LiFePO4 battery charger. With a low load at the output, more energy flows into the charger and vice versa. This saves energy and costs.
'Smart Battery Lock' prevents battery discharge
The battery management system prevents the integrated battery pack from leakage discharging when the UPSI-2406DP3 is switched off by deactivating the battery accordingly. By reducing the BMS own power consumption to a minimum, safety and shelf life of the DC UPS also increases significantly.
'UPSGen2 Configuration' software –
Extended functionality and monitoring
The free 'UPS Gen2 Configuration' software is available for download and is used to setup and parameterize the DC UPS system as well as for real-time monitoring. The UPS and battery status displays include all relevant voltages, currents as well as battery temperature, state of charge (SOC), runtimes and cycles. The pre-programmable parameters include load sensor (mA), shutdown delay, maximum backup time, minimum load capacity before system start, ignition timer and restart delay. Self-sufficient operation is then possible with the set values.
Timer function for controlled system shutdown according to the time specified
The new "Shut Down OS in" parameter can be used to set the time until the computer system is shut down and switched off in the event of a power failure. In addition to the operating system setting with regard to „State Of Charge“ of the energy storage device ("Shut Down OS at SOC"), the new function can now be used to define a specific time for the controlled shutdown in UPS backup mode.
Shutdown & reboot function for IPC systems
In the event of a ‘PowerFail, the DC UPS signals the failure of the supply voltage via the integrated interface, so that a controlled shutdown of the computer system is initiated and valuable data is saved. The integrated reboot function of the DC UPS automatically initiates the restart of the supplied IPC after the supply voltage has returned, without the need for costly on-site intervention by a service employee, e.g. with completely self-sufficient computer systems in inaccessible locations.

UPS management software 'UPScom'
with intuitive user interface
The software 'UPScom' (freely available for download) allows the connected devices to be shut down and switched off in a controlled manner during a power failure in order to avoid data loss or damage. The responsive WEB UI is called up in a web browser to set and pre-program all parameters of the DC UPS system and for real-time monitoring with state-of-charge indicator. The adjustable parameters include, among other things, load sensor (mA), shutdown delay, maximum backup time, minimum charge capacity before system start, notifications by email.
Cross-platform technology
'UPScom' uses the new WebAssembly (WASM) architecture, which runs in most current web browsers. 'UPScom' runs on x86 compatible systems and also on most ARM-64 based systems under Microsoft® Windows and various Linux distributions.
Secure Shutdown & Reboot function for IPC systems
In the event of a "power failure", the UPS signals the failure of the supply voltage via the integrated USB or RS232 interface, so that a controlled shutdown of the computer system is initiated and valuable data is saved. A script (batch) can also be executed before the system is shut down in order to process your own application-relevant processes. The integrated reboot function of the DC UPS automatically restarts the supplied IPC after the supply voltage returns, without the need for time-consuming on-site intervention by a service employee, e.g. in the case of completely self-sufficient computer systems at inaccessible locations.

'UPScom' can be used for various events such as loss of connection to the UPS, system shutdown or power failure. These preventative measures can reduce or eliminate downtime.
