Due to optimized power electronics, DC loads of up to 100 Watt can be safely bridged.

Long-life Supercaps – maintenance-free energy storage
For uninterruptible DC power supplies, there are absolutely maintenance-free long-life Supercaps (ultra-capacitors) available as highly efficient and particularly long-lasting energy storage devices with more than 500,000 charge and discharge cycles in the area of short and medium bridging times. In contrast to batteries, which store energy via a detour through a chemical reaction, supercaps are based on electrophysical principles and are charged and ready for use within a very short time. Under comparable operating conditions, supercaps have a service life that is up to ten times longer than that of classic lead-acid batteries. Energy storage systems with Supercapacitors also impress with their high current carrying capacity, power density and reliability. The long-life Supercap energy storage of the UPSI-1208DP2 works in the extended temperature range and has integrated cell balancing.
'Power Sharing' with intelligent input current detection
The intelligent PowerSharing at 12VDC input ensures that the upstream AC/DC power supply does not have to be overdimensioned, because the input power is kept constant and appropriately distributed to load and Li-Ion battery charger. With a low load at the output, more energy flows into the charger and vice versa. This saves energy and costs.
Minimum load detection
With help of the integrated load sensor, the DC UPS is switched off as soon as the load value falls below the threshold (no load) so that energy is not used unnecessarily.
Pre-programmable for self-sufficient operation
The included HID Control Center management software can be downloaded free of charge for setting and preprogramming all parameters of the DC UPS system and for real-time monitoring with fuel gauge. The adjustable parameters include load sensor (mA), shutdown delay, maximum backup time, minimum battery capacity before power up, ignition timer and restart delay. The data connection to the IPC system takes place via integrated USB interface.
Shutdown & Reboot function for IPC systems
In the event of a "PowerFail", the DC UPS signals the failure via the integrated interface, so that a controlled shutdown of the computer system is initiated and valuable data can be saved. The integrated reboot function of the DC UPS automatically initiates the restart of the supplied IPC after the supply voltage has returned, without the need for costly on-site intervention by a service employee, e.g. with completely self-sufficient computer systems in inaccessible locations.

UPS management software 'UPScom'
with intuitive user interface
The software 'UPScom' (freely available for download) allows the connected devices to be shut down and switched off in a controlled manner during a power failure in order to avoid data loss or damage. The responsive WEB UI is called up in a web browser to set and pre-program all parameters of the DC UPS system and for real-time monitoring with state-of-charge indicator. The adjustable parameters include, among other things, load sensor (mA), shutdown delay, maximum backup time, minimum charge capacity before system start, notifications by email.
Cross-platform technology
'UPScom' uses the new WebAssembly (WASM) architecture, which runs in most current web browsers. 'UPScom' runs on x86 compatible systems and also on most ARM-64 based systems under Microsoft® Windows and various Linux distributions.
Secure Shutdown & Reboot function for IPC systems
In the event of a "power failure", the UPS signals the failure of the supply voltage via the integrated USB or RS232 interface, so that a controlled shutdown of the computer system is initiated and valuable data is saved. A script (batch) can also be executed before the system is shut down in order to process your own application-relevant processes. The integrated reboot function of the DC UPS automatically restarts the supplied IPC after the supply voltage returns, without the need for time-consuming on-site intervention by a service employee, e.g. in the case of completely self-sufficient computer systems at inaccessible locations.
Email messenger service
'UPScom' can be used for various events such as loss of connection to the UPS, system shutdown or power failure. These preventative measures can reduce or eliminate downtime.
