Highly efficient 2x4" power supplies with industrial & medical approvals
The two highly efficient AC/DC switching power supplies BEO-1412M (+12V DC) and BEO-1424M (+24V DC) for use in industrial and medical applications deliver a fanless continuous output power of 140 Watt. Ventilated, up to 200 Watt of continuous power is available at the precisely regulated outputs.
For international use, the AC/DC switching power supplies of the BEO-1400M series have a wide-range input (90 to 264 VAC at 47 to 63 Hz) with active PFC (power factor correction). The robust and high-quality power supplies are designed for long-term 24/7 operation and operate in a wide temperature range from -20 °C to +70 °C. The maximum operating altitude is 5000 m. The excellent quality and reliability are based on high-end industrial grade components. This is also reflected in a high MTBF. In addition, Japanese branded capacitors of +105 °C quality class significantly extend the PSU lifetime. The high energy density of the 2x4" power supplies also favors the particularly space-saving installation in compact and performant applications.
The BEO-1400M series combines high quality and durability with the compactness of fanless 2x4“ PSU design and is therefore ideally suited for the power supply of closed applications and embedded IPC systems in a wide variety of applications: industrial automation, medical devices, operating room and Intensive care medicine technology, laboratory automation and analysis technology, measurement, control and regulation, HMI and vision systems, security technology, communication, POS / POI, digital signage, and much more.
International safety approvals for medical technology
The switching power supplies BEO-1412M and BEO-1424M have the medical safety approvals IEC/EN/UL 60601-1 (Edition 3.1) and meet the current EMC standard IEC 60601-1-2: 2014 (Edition 4.0) with regard to electromagnetic compatibility of medical electrical devices. With a high insulation voltage of 4000 VAC input/output, the power supplies meet the medical safety standard 2xMOPP for patient contact (Means Of Patient Protection). The leakage current is less than 0.1 mA.
Safety standard IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 for industrial applications
As of December 20, 2020, the new safety standard based on IEC 62368-1 will replace existing standards 60950-1 and 60065 worldwide. The BEO-1400M series has already been certified to IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 and also complies with EMC standard EN 55032: 2015 Class B. This means that international customers and system developers can be sure that the power supply series will cover all relevant standards in a future-proof manner. Combined with the three-year device warranty and long-term availability of at least 5 years, long-term applications in particular benefit from optimal investment protection.
Energy efficient converter topology
The optimized converter topology of the BEO-1400M series is characterized by a high efficiency of up to 93 % across the full performance range and consumes less than 0.21 Watt in standby mode. This ensures particularly energy-saving operation with low heat generation.
Passive contact cooling for fanless systems
For effective contact cooling, a suitable thermal pad (gap filler pad) and a Mylar film with cutout for contact surface are included in the scope of delivery. The thermally conductive gap filler bridges gaps and air voids between the power components on the circuit board underside and the heat sink or metal chassis of the application. This ensures optimal passive cooling and the protection of the components against overheating. Due to the very good heat management, heating of the switching power supply is reduced to a minimum, making fanless and maintenance-free systems possible.

The 3-pin AC input line CB-105-3-600 or the 2-pin AC input line X1-054 are available as optional accessories for input-side mains connection, and the 4-pin DC output line CB-BEO-0600M on the output side - each made in AWG18 with a length of 600 mm and open ends.
