The highly efficient and robustly constructed industrial PC power supply BEA-550K impresses with its uncompromising quality and durability under tough operating conditions. In addition, the energy-saving power supply topology meets the 80PLUS® Platinum specification.
The BEA-550K is ideally suited for use in harsh industrial environments with an extended temperature range from -10°C to +70°C. The exceptionally high quality of the BEA-550K is based on the consistent use of high-quality components and the ongoing development of our power supply solutions in terms of energy efficiency and resilience. For example, Japanese branded capacitors of the quality class +105°C contribute to a significant service life extension of the power supply unit - even at high operating temperatures in an industrial environment.
The BEA-550K is used wherever powerful ATX computer systems have to work reliably for many years in 24/7 continuous operation, even under increased interference, and thus make a significant contribution to the safe operation of systems, plants and machines.
Powerful IPC power supply for international use
On the input side, the switched-mode power supply BEA-550K has a wide range input 90 to 264 VAC (47-63 Hz) with active power factor correction (PFC) and is certified according to EN/UL 62368-1 and CCC. With an output power of 500 Watt, the PSU BEA-550K also reliably supplies power-hungry and graphics-intensive systems with appropriate hardware.
The short-circuit, overcurrent and overvoltage protection functions integrated as standard at the precisely regulated outputs ensure additional operational safety. All ATX outputs of the BEA-550K (+ 3.3V, + 5V, + 12V1, + 12V2, -12V and + 5Vsb) do not require a base load, so that mainboards of the latest generation with special energy-saving modes can be supplied safely.
High energy efficiency across the entire performance range
The energy-saving power supply topology meets the 80PLUS® Platinum specification and achieves a high degree of efficiency of up to 92%. The switched-mode power supply achieves consistently high energy efficiency values across the entire power range. Standby consumption is less than 0.5 Watt.
The well engineered arrangement of power components and optimized thermal airflow management ensure efficient and safe operation of the PS/2 ATX power supply unit.
Excellent EMC properties and interference resistance
Due to the very good electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), the BEA-550K fulfills the stricter class B of EN 55032: 2015/AC:2016. The BEA-550K also fulfills the standards with regard to increased interference immunity for industrial areas EN 61000-6-2 and for interference emission for industrial areas EN 61000-6-4.
Shock and vibration resistance
The through-hole plating of the circuit board ensures long-lasting and stable soldered connections even under the effects of shock and vibration (IEC60068-2-64). A safety bracket fixes the AC power connector in the power supply input socket and prevents it from being pulled out accidentally. The matching 3-pin AC power cord X1-132 with an IEC connector is available as an optional accessory.
Longer service life of our industrial PC power supplies by using high-quality branded capacitors of type +105°C
In many industrial applications, the ambient temperature can reach +50°C and more. As a result, the temperature inside an IPC system quickly rises to +55...+60°C. Therefore, all system components used, especially the power supply unit, should be designed for an extended temperature range. The electrolytic capacitors used in switched-mode power supply units are exposed to permanent thermal loads of at least +65°C under such conditions. For this reason, we equip our industrial PC power supplies with high-quality branded capacitors of the +105°C quality class. Compared to the cheaper +85°C electrolytic capacitors, they guarantee a considerably longer service life and very high performance.
Ball-bearing branded fan with temperature control and tachometer signal
The cooling - and thus the fan - is an important quality and reliability factor! That is why we only equip the BEA-550K with fans from well-known brand manufacturers. The power supply units have a separate tachometer signal output for permanent function monitoring of the fan. This ensures the permanent availability of the supplied computer system even in demanding applications. The temperature-controlled fan also reduces the noise generated by the ball-bearing fan to a minimum.
FR4 board with through-hole plating and customer-specific adjustments
The high-quality printed circuit boards in FR4 industrial quality are considerably more dimensionally stable and more durable than inexpensive hard paper boards. The through-hole plating of the board ensures robust and permanent solder connections. Optionally, if desired, parts and components can also be fixed with a high-quality adhesive and thus protected against increased shock and vibration loads. Customized protective lacquer coatings are also possible.
