Maintenance-free and ultra fast charging long-life energy storage for DC UPS systems
For uninterruptible DC power supplies (DC UPS), absolutely maintenance-free longlife supercaps (ultracapacitors) are available in the range of short and medium hold-up times as highly efficient and particularly long-lasting energy storage units with more than 500,000 charge and discharge cycles. Unlike batteries, which store energy by the detour of a chemical reaction, supercaps are based on electrophysical principles and are quickly charged and ready for use. Buffer modules with supercapacitors impress with their high current-carrying capacity, power density and reliability. The energy storage units BP-SUC (open frame) and BP-SUC-D (DIN rail) work in the extended temperature range and have integrated cell balancing.
