Double insulated AC/DC power supply of protection class II with NEC Class 2 / Limited Power Source (LPS)
The compact CHROME series DIN-Rail power supplies from Delta are designed for long-term use in small control cabinets in home automation and in the food and beverage industry. The double-insulated DIN-Rail power supplies of protection class II do not require a ground connection, resulting in a low leakage current. The AC/DC switching power supplies for reliable 12 or 24V power supply are certified to NEC Class 2 and Limited Power Source (LPS). The NEC Class 2 approval offers the advantage that, due to the limited output power of max. 100VA, there is neither the risk of electric shock nor the risk of fire initiation. Therefore a simplified wiring method can be used between the output of the power supply and the input of the supplied load. This reduces costs and installation effort. The DIN-Rail power supplies have a wide range AC input of 90 to 264 VAC for universal use and operate in the temperature range of -25°C to +71°C. The brand-name electrolytic capacitors used have a particularly long service life of 10 years, ensuring many years of system availability. The Chrome series is certified according to the safety standards IEC/EN/UL 62368-1 and UL 508. In addition, the DIN-Rail power supplies comply with the IEC/EN 61000-3-2 Class A standard regarding the limits for harmonic currents.
