Power failures, voltage dips or flicker can become a problem for production systems, medical or safety technology and embedded industrial PCs. Downtimes or data loss are often the result. By using the DC emergency power supply UPSI-2412DP2 you ensure the fail-safe 24VDC power supply of your application. The 24V mains voltage is buffered by means of maintenance-free and fast-charging Supercaps (EDLC) with high cycle stability.

The All-In-One DC UPS in a robust DIN rail housing is ideally suited for long-term use in control cabinet applications and decentralized solutions for the protection of embedded IPCs, controllers, motors, sensors, measurement, control and safety technology, and many more.

Unlike batteries, which store energy via a chemical reaction, Supercaps are based on electrophysical principles and are charged and ready for use within a very short time. Under comparable operating conditions, Supercaps have a service life up to ten times longer than classic lead-acid batteries. Extended functionality and monitoring
The setting and parameterization of the DC UPS system as well as real-time monitoring is conveniently possible with the 'UPS Gen2 Configuration' software. The UPS and battery status displays include all relevant voltages, currents as well as battery temperature, state of charge (SOC), runtimes and cycles. Self-sufficient operation is then possible with the set values.

Timer function for controlled shutdown according to the time specified
The new "Shut Down OS in" parameter can be used to set the time until the computer system is shut down and switched off in the event of a power failure. In addition to the operating system setting with regard to „State Of Charge“ of the energy storage device ("Shut Down OS at SOC"), the new function can now be used to define a specific time for the controlled shutdown in UPS backup mode.

Shutdown & Reboot function for IPC systems
In the event of a ‘PowerFail, the DC UPS signals the failure of the supply voltage via the integrated interface, so that a controlled shutdown of the computer system is initiated and valuable data is saved. The integrated reboot function of the DC UPS automatically initiates the restart of the supplied IPC after the supply voltage has returned, without the need for costly on-site intervention by a service employee, e.g. with completely self-sufficient computer systems in inaccessible locations.
