The DC401W has been specifically optimized to ensure stable power supply for current motherboards with the latest generation of Intel® Core™ processors. These CPUs have a highly dynamic power consumption with sometimes extreme power spikes within a very short time period. It is therefore relevant to take this behavior into account when choosing a suitable power supply. The optimized circuit design of the DC401W can meet these requirements and ensures excellent regulation stability, even under demanding CPU power levels (PL2). With a non-optimized converter, the highly dynamic load jumps of the CPU in boost mode can lead to critical voltage drops that are outside the ATX specification and can therefore cause unstable system behavior.<br><br>
