The compact DC/DC converter is designed for reliable 24/7 continuous operation of industrial PCs, embedded box PCs and a wide range of industrial applications. Designed for operation in the extended temperature range of -20 to +70°C, the DC401W is equipped with particularly high-quality components, such as polymer aluminium capacitors, which contribute to a particularly long service life of over 10 years. The converter design according to the ATX3.0 specification meets the performance requirements of the latest generation of processors.<br><br>

No minimum load is required at the precisely regulated outputs (+3.3V, +5V, +12V, -12V, +5V standby).

<p>Thanks to its compact 1U design, the powerful DC401W, as a fanless DC/DC converter, is the optimal ATX power supply solution for closed and fanless computer systems. The DC401W has been specifically optimized to ensure stable power supply for current motherboards with the latest generation of Intel® Core™ processors. These CPUs have a highly dynamic power consumption with sometimes extreme power spikes within a very short time period. It is therefore relevant to take this behavior into account when choosing a suitable power supply. The optimized circuit design of the DC401W can meet these requirements and ensures excellent regulation stability, even under demanding CPU power levels (PL2). With a non-optimized converter, the highly dynamic load jumps of the CPU in boost mode can lead to critical voltage drops that are outside the ATX specification and can therefore cause unstable system behavior.<br><br>

<p>The DC401W impresses with a high efficiency of up to 94% and a well-engineered thermal design, for minimal heat development and maximum reliability. In order to ensure optimal thermal connection of the power components on the underside of the circuit board, the DC401W is equipped with a heat conduction pad (gap filler pad). This ensures a long-term, secure thermal connection for fanless contact cooling and thus contributes to a particularly long service life of the converter.
