Other than conventional uninterruptable power supplies the IUPS-401-B1 was designed to be installed into a PC. Thus, UPS and PC become one compact space-saving unit. The IUPS-401-B1 can easily be installed into a drive slot and its handling is exceptionally user-friendly. Via interface and the UPS management software “RUPS 2000” the computer will be shut down and switched off in case of mains power failure.

| Reboot function
|
If mains voltage returns after a power failure while Windows® is already shutting down, the UPS switches the PC off (after the shut-down period) and switches it on again after approximately 5 seconds in conjunction with RUPS 2000 and an ACPI-PC (observe BIOS settings of mainboard).

During storage the UPS has to be charged at least every 6 months.
