70 Watt power supply for mini ITX systems
BEP-506C
The DC/DC power supply BEP-506C of Bicker Elektronik is designed for the installation into fanlessly operating industrial and automotive computers and provides 50 Watt continuous power. For 70 Watt continuous power a fan is required.
Due to the wide input range from 10 to 36 VDC supply is possible with 12 as well as with 24 VDC. The maximal input current at 12 VDC is 12 A. The maximal inrush current is 30 A. The power supply provides five output voltages with 3.3, 5, 12, -12 VDC, and 5 Vsb. The maximum load of the 3.3 V output is 5 A, at the 5 V output it is 7 A, at the 12 V output it is 2.5 A; at the 12 V output it is 0.5 A, and at the 5 Vsb output it is 0.75 A. The DC/DC power supply with power-good signal is specified for ambient operating temperatures from -10 to +70 °C. Derating at operating temperatures above +50 °C is 25 % per K. The open-frame power supply provides an efficiency of at least 75 % at 24 V input voltage in the nominal load range. At nominal load voltage failures are backed up for at least 1ms.
Load fluctuations are regulated with ±3 to 5 %. Ripple and noise is 50 or 120 mV. Line regulation at a 10 % voltage jump is 1 %. A short-circuit protection is installed at all outputs with auto-recovery function as well as inverse polarity protection at the input. Vibration and shock resistance are specified for automotive applications.
The dimensions are 128 x 81 x 40 mm. The weight is 0.3 kg.
The company Bicker Elektronik GmbH, which was founded in 1994, designs, manufactures, and distributes solutions for power supply applications. With its product portfolio the company focuses on power systems for industrial automation as well as for industrial or professional environments and medical applications. Thus, the product range not only includes power supply units as such but also DC/DC converters as well as uninterruptible power supplies with DC or AC supply. The main power range of all these power products currently lies between 3 W and 3.000 W.
