The ATX power supply PCFL-180P-X2S2 combines the functions of a PC power supply with those of a UPS.
In UPS mode the electrical energy is supplied by a separate NiMH battery pack. The PCFL-180P-X2S2 is designed for industrial applications with a service life of at least 7 years in 24 h continuous operation at a temperature of +25 °C. The unit is distinguished further by a robust design and high-quality components: The PCB is made of FR4 material and is plated through.
This power supply with power factor correction (PFC) operates from 85 to 264 VAC in a frequency rage of 47 up to 63 Hz. Current consumption is 2 A at 100 VAC or 0.9 A at 220 VAC. For DC applications the same power supply is available with DC input. Typical efficiency is 77 %. The PCFL-180P-X2S2 operates at ambient temperatures from 0 up to 60 °C. On the secondary side five voltages with 3.3 V (10 A), 5 V (10 A), 12 V (10 A), -12 V (0.3 A), and 5 Vsb (1.5 A) are available. All outputs operate without minimal load. Integrated into the power supply are protections against short-circuit, overtemperature, and against overvoltage of up to 30 % above the nominal value. The specified total output power is 150 Watt with fan cooling and 90 Watt without fan cooling. The MTBF is 100.000 hours. The power supply is approved according to EN 60950-1, UL 60950-1, and CE.
Combined with the battery pack BS17A-H24/2.0L and the optional UPS management software RUPS 2000-B1 this power supply unit is turned into an automatic UPS system with power-good signal as well switch-on delay and switch-off delay. The hold-up time of the power supply without battery pack is 16 ms.
